May Help With:
Rent and
Utilities
- when recent loss of income was through no
fault of the neighbor's
- when neighbor had unexpected, necessary
expense (such as car repair)
- for move-in (first month's rent) if reason
for move does not involve non-payment of rent or utilities at
previous location
- under certain conditions, loss of temporary
job
Neighbor must provide verification of all
aspects of his/her situation (for instance, utility bills,
separation notice, pay records, police report, medical
statement, employer's verification, landlord's statement)
Prescription Medicines
- for acute illness (with new prescription
not more than 48 hours old)
- for emergency dental work under certain
conditions
- under certain conditions and by appointment
only, medication for chronic illness
Transportation
- by referral from other agencies
- gas for scheduled, verified job interview
- bus pass for job that has just started
- out of county transportation under certain
circumstances
