Food Bank Checklist . . . |
- Proof of address for each
adult in the home
- Social Security card for
each adult (age 17 and older) in the home
- One of the following for
minor child:
- medicaid card
- insurance card
- current school
documents listing child and parent names (within 30 days)

Athens Emergency Food bank
The Ark can make a referral to
the Athens Area Emergency Food Bank when the following conditions are
met:
- Eligibility is twice in a
six-month period

Must be residents of Athens-Clarke County, verified by
received mail with name and street, postmarked within the last
thirty days. An official lease signed within the last thirty
days may be used one time.
- Homeless or transients
without a permanent address must obtain a referral from the
Department of Family and Children Services, located on North Avenue.
- Residents of Athens
Housing Authority must obtain a referral from Residential Services
Office located in Rock Springs.
- Applicants with minor
dependents, zero income, and no health insurance for the minors must
obtain a referral from the Department of Family and Children's
Services, located on North Avenue.
We
are unable to make exceptions on these requirements. |
